Shopping in Scheveningen

Shopaholics can eat their hart out in Scheveningen. The boulevard offers the most touristic kind of shops. Whilst the Palace Promenade and the Keizerstraat gives a wider shopping selection. Do realize that the prices might be slightly higher on the boulevard then in the regular shops. Grab that shopping bag and shop till you drop!

Palace Promenade
The Palace Promenade shopping mall offers a wide selection of shops and restaurants. The mall is located at the Palacestraat (view on Google Maps).

There are many small shops where you can buy clothes, books, jewelry and much more. The end of the shopping mall leads right onto the boulevard of Scheveningen. Make sure to make a stop at the food centre and try one of the typical Dutch dishes. Inside the Palace promenade you can also find a casino, play hall for children and a foodcourt.

Keizerstraat
The Keizerstraat (view on Google Maps) is one of the oldest shopping streets of Holland. The shopping street is located right in the historical heart of Scheveningen village. Walk to the end of the street and you’ll find yourself right on the beachof Scheveningen. The Keizerstreet has more than 100 shops to suite your shopping needs. Don’t forget to have a drink in one of the local bars or on the terrace. In the Keizerstreet you can also still find some tradionational folklore.

At the end of the Keizerstraat you can still find the original church. This is the oldest monument in Scheveningen and originated from the 15th century. Next to the church the ‘fishing wife’statue still overlooks the ocean. She was placed there to remember all fishermen who never returned from their fishing trip.
