Scheveningen Zwarte Pad
Zwarte Pad is a quirky and cozy beach on the coast of Scheveningen, part of the northern beach (Noorderstrand). It's less touristy than on the left of the Pier, on the other side the place where in summer the most beach parties are held.
And for parents with children: recognizable poles along the entire Zwarte Pad to reduce the chance of getting lost. A relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful holiday feeling go hand in hand on Zwarte Pad beach!
Getting there
Zwarte Pad is easy to reach by car, public transport and by bike. Follow the signs for Scheveningen beach (Scheveningen Strand) and drive to parking Zwarte Pad where you can park for free from 1 November until 1 March. If there is no space left, you can also park your car in the large parking Strand. Zwarte Pad is also easily accessible by public transport: various trams and buses have Zwarte Pad in Scheveningen as the final stop.
Are you coming on a bike? On the northern part of the Scheveningen boulevard there is a guarded Biesieklette. There is space for bicycles, scooters and motorcycles here. In the summer months, this garage is open until midnight, in April, May and September until the evening and in the other months only on Sundays. From the Biesieklette you walk straight onto Zwarte Pad beach!
